Shizen Yoga Studio est 2020
Founded and led by Rowie Geraerts with the grace, love and support of Nozawa onsen village. いつもありがとうございます
About the space
Located on level 2 of Shimataya View Hotel, Nozawa onsen.
Find our studio tucked in a peaceful corner of the village, overlooking the mountains here. The room is large and spacious with a traditional tatami floor and a wall of windows overlooking the mountain.
Wake up and flow in the sun drenched space overlooking the sunrise or wind down in the evening with the sun setting behind you at the entrance when you walk in.
With warm herbal tea, a heated rug and a nice community to greet you on arrival, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a secret haven of Nozawa onsen.
At Shizen Collective, I honour the profound teachings of the 8-limbed yoga system, as shared by Sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras, which form the foundation of my practice and teachings.
I deeply respect the rich traditions of India and South Asia that have brought us these teachings, alongside the teachers who have guided my understanding of yoga and the community of Nozawa onsen who have welcomed me and the practice I share so lovingly.
Rooted in the beautiful village of Nozawa Onsen, Japan, Shizen Collective embraces yoga as a living, evolving practice, enriched by the local community and the land I share these practices from.
